CEO, Co-CIO
Garrett has built and led investment management businesses over four decades and was instrumental in launching the original firm Rochdale Investment Management in 1986. In 2012, Garrett oversaw the firm’s acquisition by a bank, was appointed the CEO of the investment division, and led the company’s phenomenal growth from $5B AUM to $30B AUM. As Sandro Wealth’s CEO, Garrett leads a best-in-class senior executive team to offer the sophisticated, comprehensive, integrated, and curated services wealthy clients expect. As Co-CIO Garrett is dedicated to the strategic asset allocation decisions on the Investment Committee. Garrett is a CPWA, CFA, CAIA, AIF.
President
Kurt Hawkesworth leads the firm’s strategic and operational initiatives, portfolio management and legal functions, and supports Sandro’s strategic vision. During his tenure at Rochdale Investment Management and its affiliated broker/dealer, Kurt served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Portfolio Management, leading the firm’s Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Client Service, Technology, and Service Excellence Divisions. Kurt holds a J.D. from Hofstra School of Law, is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, and is admitted to the NY Bar.
Co-CIO
Tom brings over 40 years of experience analyzing companies and investing equity and asset allocation portfolios. As the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Managing Director at CNR, Tom worked closely with leadership for 12 years and served as a member of CNR’s Investment Committee. Leading a team of 30 investment professionals, he oversaw investment solutions for approximately $60 billion in client assets. He also was the strategic architect and had responsibility for managing $18 billion in equity portfolios. Prior to joining CNR Tom served as CIO, Director of Research, and Equity Analyst and Portfolio Manager at UBS, Forstmann-Leff Associates, Smith Barney, and Shearson Lehman Brothers.
Head of Marketing Strategy and Business Relationships BD/RIA
Alok has extensive experience in driving profitable growth. At Sandro, Alok’s focus is on collaborating with our network of BDs, RIAs and advisors to develop and implement compelling growth programs that help them win HNW clients. Alok previously led Strategy and Transformation at CNR where he successfully launched several growth initiatives. As a consultant at McKinsey and PwC, Alok served global wealth/asset managers. Alok is a CPWA®, CIMA® and has a PhD from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer
Ian ensures regulatory compliance, provides legal oversight, shapes corporate governance structures, and co-manages operational strategies and growth initiatives at Sandro Wealth. Previously, Ian served as Senior VP and Managing Director of Business Affairs and Investment Governance at a large financial institution. In that capacity, Ian managed the firm’s $10B Mutual Fund Complex, Business Affairs group, risk and legal responsibilities, and key business relationships. He holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University Law of School.
Head of Systematic Equities
With over 25 years of investment expertise, Fang joined Sandro Wealth after serving as the Director of the Quantitative Analysis Group at CNR, where he led the development of quantitative strategies and a comprehensive risk management framework. He collaborated closely with Portfolio Managers and Senior Investment Consultants to optimize client portfolios, manage transitions, address tax considerations, ensure robust risk, and provide asset allocation recommendations as part of the Investment Committee. Fang started his career as a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Citigroup Asset Management, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Sr. Investment Strategist/Economist
Steven has over 20 years of experience in private wealth and expertise in global portfolio construction, investment strategies, portfolio optimization, asset allocation strategies, and risk management. During his 20-year tenure at CNR, Steven served on the Investment Strategy Committee, where helped shape the firm’s macroeconomic outlook and contributed to strategic and tactical global asset allocation recommendations. He played a crucial role in strategic partner relationships, client development and investment communications, delivering performance updates and economic and financial market insights.
